When moms gather together, blessings are shared.<\/em><\/h2>\n

It was quite the lunch. Roasted chicken next to taquitos, pumpkin pie alongside tres leches, green bean casserole sharing a plate with Mexican rice…<\/p>\n

The company was just as varied. Young mothers with children in their laps, church ladies extending hospitality, volunteers playing peek-a-boo, and CNNC staff intermingled among the crowd \u2013 gathered as one, in the fellowship hall of the Church of the Covenant, eating and laughing together.<\/p>\n

This was the CNNC\u2019s Thriving at 3<\/a> annual Thanksgiving lunch.<\/p>\n

After the meal, Krycya, the Director of the program, waved her hands, calling everyone together. \u201cVamos a compartir nuestras bendiciones – It\u2019s time to share our blessings.\u201d<\/em> One by one, each mom shared her thankfulness.<\/p>\n

Amigas, ni\u00f1os, familia, las voluntarias, la iglesia, and of course la comida – <\/em>
\nfriends, children, family, the volunteers, the church, and the food.<\/em><\/p>\n

During the sharing, some moms smiled at each other from across the room while others squeezed hands. These Thriving at 3 moms have community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love this group of women, I learn so much from them.\u201d<\/em> Marisela said as her two boys cuddled in her lap. \u201cI am welcome here. I belong.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
